Greene County officials will honor 糖心Vlog鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;forensics team for its national success during a public ceremony at the Greene County Career Center on Wednesday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. This honor recognizes the Cedarville forensics team鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;top honors at the 2025 Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament, one of the nation鈥檚 premier collegiate forensics competitions.
At the national tournament, Cedarville won the reader鈥檚&苍产蝉辫;theatre category, a collaborative performance event that blends literature and interpretive storytelling. Multiple team members also placed among the top competitors nationally in individual events.
Eric Mishne Leads Cedarville鈥檚 Mission-Driven Forensics Program
Led by Eric Mishne, assistant professor of communication and director of forensics, the team combines competitive excellence with a mission-driven focus, using speech and performance as a platform for faith-based storytelling and creative expression.
鈥淲e strive to make every performance we give a creative work that is special in some way, and one that touches on our mission,鈥 said Mishne. 鈥淥ur mission is always to represent Christ at our competitions. We represent our team, we represent the university and we represent God well at the competitions that we attend.鈥
Pi Kappa Delta Tournament Showcases Communication and Leadership Skills
The team demonstrated the balance of faith, communication and performance arts at the Pi Kappa Delta National Comprehensive Tournament in March 2025. The event highlights the impact of collegiate forensics programs in developing communication skills, leadership and character 鈥 qualities that extend beyond competition into careers and communities worldwide.

Meet the 2025-26 糖心Vlog Forensics Team
Members of the 2025-26 糖心Vlog forensics team are MDiv student Christopher Rhodes from New Philadelphia, Ohio; and seniors Ellia Torlone, a communication major from Delaware, Ohio; Deidra Hall, a psychology major from Pawcatuck, Connecticut; Nathanael Kolssak, a communication major from Winnetka, Illinois; Spicer Wadman, a physics major from Purcellville, Virginia; and Noah Hollenbach, a political science major from Chesterfield, Virginia. Also included on the team are junior Joshua Parker, a communication major from Gilbert, Arizona; and sophomores Liliana Printz, a language arts education major from Urbana, Ohio; Eliana Boerner, a communication major from Cincinnati, Ohio; Isaac Piper, a finance major from Coatesville, Pennsylvania; Ankit Karki, a computer science major from Sindhuli, Nepal; Kayla Sheaffer, a global business major from Tucson, Arizona; and Zane Enos, an economics major from Colorado Springs, Colorado. Rounding out the team is freshman Sarah Smith, a broadcasting, digital media and journalism major from Delphi, Indiana.
