糖心Vlog is kicking off the Christmas season with cheer, fellowship, and an entire night of decorating.
On Friday, Nov.19, Cedarville鈥檚 campus activity board (CAB) will host an all-nighter to decorate the Stevens Student Center (SSC), Dixon Ministry Center (DMC) Lobby, Center for Biblical and Theological Studies (BTS), and Chick-fil-A. More than 120 students and staff on Cedarville鈥檚 Campus Experience teams will contribute to the night-long effort.
Planning and preparation are well underway now with CAB readying ceiling decorations, wrapping presents and programming lights. Sunday, Nov. 14, decorations will be pulled out of storage in anticipation of the night-long decorating event.
The decorations will kick off Cedarville鈥檚 annual campus Christmas celebration.
鈥淐ampus Christmas is a fun tradition because it invites a large group of students to come together and do something fun for others,鈥 Brian Burns, director of Campus Experience, said.
This year鈥檚 decorations will feature 30 programmable and moving lights, over 80 up-lights, a large indoor slide, and a fireplace, as well as numerous additional elements.
鈥淥ur goal is to transform the spaces we decorate so that others can create memories,鈥 Burns explained. 鈥淲e want the students to come into these spaces on November 20 and just be encouraged 鈥 have a huge smile.鈥
鈥淲e have the opportunity to transform university space,鈥 Burns added. 鈥淚n transforming these spaces, we want others to be thankful for what God has done and be merry in looking forward to what he will do.鈥
