McKay is a gifted Bible teacher. Whether he鈥檚 lecturing in a college classroom or traveling the globe to train future pastors, digging into Scripture is McKay鈥檚 passion.
Last fall, McKay boarded 17 planes for various points around the globe. His latest memorable travels include offering a nine-hour course on the Pentateuch to pastors in Russia, all through a translator, and leading 20 Cedarville students through a tour of the Holy Land over Christmas break. Among those students were McKay鈥檚 three adult children, Alexis, Andrew and Katheryn.
The trip to Israel, in particular, changed the way McKay views familiar stories in the Gospel. Years spent studying and interpreting Scripture gave McKay a deeper appreciation and richer understanding of the famous biblical sites he was viewing.
Dr. McKay is the author of a number of scholarly papers, looking at interpretive issues regarding the biblical text. A list of those papers can be found on Cedarville鈥檚 .
