Google Chrome: Import Bookmarks from Another Web Browser

When you start using Google Chrome as your default web browser, you don鈥檛 have to manually enter all your bookmarks from your old browser into Google Chrome. You can import them from your old browser into Google Chrome automatically.
To import bookmarks from another web browser:

  1. Ensure no browsers are open.
  2. Open Google Chrome.
  3. Click the three dots in the top-right corner.
  4. Click 鈥淪ettings.鈥
  5. From the 鈥淧eople鈥 section, click 鈥淚mport bookmarks and settings.鈥 The Import Bookmarks and Settings window opens.
  6. From the 鈥淔rom:鈥 drop-down menu, select the web browser from which you want to import the bookmarks.
  7. From 鈥淪elect items to import:鈥 check 鈥淔avorites/Bookmarks.鈥
  8. Click [Import]. If you did not close all other web browsers in step 1, the 鈥淐lose Firefox Before Importing鈥 window will appear. If so, close Firefox and click [Continue].

The imported bookmarks will appear in Google Chrome in the 鈥淚mported From Firefox鈥 or "Imported from IE" folder.
