The audio concentration in ÌÇÐÄVlog's BA in media production will teach you how to create those kinds of experiences. You'll learn how to record, edit, produce, and shape audio while developing the storytelling skills that turn sound into something powerful.

Through hands-on projects, collaboration with other media production students, and mentorship from faculty, you'll create content that informs, entertains, and inspires. Opportunities to Learn Outside the Classroom

Internship or Senior Project

Throughout your time at Cedarville, you'll work on projects that help you develop your skills in recording, editing, storytelling, and production while collaborating with other students.

Before graduation, you'll complete either an internship or a senior project. Many students choose an internship and gain valuable experience in broadcasting, podcasting, church media, production companies, or other professional environments. Others pursue a major creative project that showcases their abilities through a substantial audio production. 

On-Campus Audio Opportunities

Some of the most valuable experience happens right here on campus. Whether you're interested in podcasting, radio, live production, or audio storytelling, you'll find opportunities to create high-quality audio for real audiences.

Opportunities may include:

  • Production Services Group (PSG) — chapel services and special events
  • Resound Radio — campus radio station
  • Theatre — live productions and performances

Program Curriculum

The audio concentration combines foundational media production coursework with specialized study in audio storytelling, recording, editing, sound design, and production.

As you progress through the curriculum, you'll develop an understanding of both the creative and technical elements of audio production while learning how sound can be used to communicate ideas and tell compelling stories.
